About Erin Lai
"It all started with the desire to learn the Running Man…”.
It was 2020, we were stuck at home and I needed a way to blow off steam. Shuffle gave me an outlet for my energy, a creative task to focus on and unexpectedly, on a much deeper level, a connection to the shuffle community. I fell in love, hit the ground running (man) and haven’t stopped since!
In Australia, Erin trained in Modern Ballroom and Latin for 6+ years achieving bronze, silver and gold level accreditation under the Australian Dancing Society. Over the years she has enjoyed various other styles including Irish Dancing, Jazz, Heels and Musical Theatre.
She has been teaching shuffle privately and in group classes in person and online since 2021 and is excited to be a part of growing this emerging dance style across the lower mainland (and globally!). Learning from renowned shuffle teachers and influencers including Mark Tore, Kento(Baby) Moriguchi, Marbiik, Ciara Castro and Vanesa Seco she looks forward to sharing her knowledge with experienced shufflers and welcoming beginner shufflers to this unique and FUN form of movement.
